17th October 2009 Happy Diwali

My mom is making dinner and to pass the time I've decided to write my journal.

Today was an okay day. My dad bought me 8 books, but until I get on the plane, I can't read them. But after zooming through 2 of my library books, I realized I was bored. For most of the time I was playing a game called Popatropica on the computer and when I finished I read some webcomics for a looo...ng time. After a few hours I got bored and asked my dad to read me "Beasts in my Belfry". After 10 minutes, he became tired and went off. I decided to create a webcomic account, but since that took 40 minutes, I had used up almost all my playing time.

Then my dad came and asked if I would like to burst some crackers! I quickly accepted and went with him. Since sparklers and chakras are for the night, we let off a lot of bijli crackers, walas and lakshmi crackers. The rest of the afternoon was uneventful until 6:20.

At 6:20, my neighbors started setting off fireworks. As I lean out the windows I think " a bright end to a bright Diwali".
